Artist Highlight: John Romita Jr. // (2012)

Very few artist can accommodate in his life a body of work close to the one done by John Jr. A Marvel Comics mainstay, he has worked  in every superhero of the company at some point. This man can draw the hell out of everything, mixing detailed backgrounds with incredible character designs. His greatest strength however is his ability to make his art jump out of the page. When a character lands a blow in a comic drawn by John Jr. you can almost feel the blood drops in your face. He’s also an incredible storyteller not missing a single mark in sequential comics. He’s been known to draw two books a month in the late 90’s, always pared with inker Klaus Janson or his own dad. One of the very best in this industry. Period.
